A Vancouver, Washington practice serving individuals, family-run businesses, and closely-held companies across the Pacific Northwest. Engagements begin with an inquiry.
A focused practice in tax, accounting, and business advisory work — built around the rhythms of the people and companies we serve.
The core of the practice is tax preparation — federal and multi-state returns ranging from individual 1040s with rental, K-1, and equity-compensation activity to closely-held S-corps, partnerships, and sole proprietorships. Year-end planning is part of the engagement, not an add-on.
Adjacent to tax work, we maintain bookkeeping and payroll engagements for clients who want their books reconciled and clean year-round, and we provide IRS and state representation when notices, audits, installment agreements, or offers in compromise arise.
For business owners, we offer ongoing advisory work: entity selection, S-corp reasonable-compensation analyses, quarterly tax projections, and the kind of forward-looking conversations that make April less surprising.
All of it is delivered under a written engagement with a clearly defined scope and fee. We accept new clients selectively and prefer working relationships that last.
I came to tax work through running businesses, not the other way around. I grew my family's company, ran my own companies in logistics and equipment rental, and oversaw construction projects with developers and engineers — so I know what it's like to make payroll on a tight week and stay up sweating a budget. Eventually I opened my own bookkeeping firm, then joined a tax office to deepen the tax side. I'm an Oregon Licensed Tax Consultant (LTC), and my main focus today is tax accounting and business advising. What I enjoy most is helping people solve problems with tax agencies and watching businesses grow over the years. Family-run businesses are my favorite to work with — it's where I started, and the work always feels personal — but I'm just as comfortable with non-family businesses and corporations. I'm at my best with clients who care about doing things right; that's the part that matters to me.
I grew up mostly in the Pacific Northwest and have spent most of my life here, with a stretch in Europe for university along the way. I also studied at Clark College in Vancouver, WA. Working here, in the community I know, felt like the natural next step.
